Ireland may be set for an South African-style 'truth commission' to deal with the legacy of mother and baby homes.
The idea's been suggested by the Minister for Children as a way to ensure some kind of justice for survivors of the homes.
Katherine Zappone has today told TDs she will consider widening the current state inquiry to include ALL residential institutions.
But she's suggested so-called 'transitional justice' - like what happened after Apartheid in South Africa - as one option:
