The number of people on hospital trolleys is up again today.

The daily figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there are 430 waiting for a hospital bed, most of whom are on trolleys.

The worst overcrowding today is at University Hospital Galway, with 41.

Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda has 35, Naas General Hospital has 33 and the Midland Regional in Tullamore has 30 patients waiting for beds.

The INMO is holding its annual conference this week in Killarney, during which the trolley crisis is high on the agenda.
