The body of a 41-year-old man has been found on the shores of Lough Burke in County Clare.
A group of people fishing raised the alarm some time after six o'clock last night, when they spotted the man's body in the water near Kilmaley, outside Ennis.
Gardaí believe the man may have taken ill and fell into the water - foul play is not suspected.
His body has been taken to Limerick University Hospital for a post mortem to be carried out.
